I’ve been watching Jeopardy! because an ex was on a few episodes and I got back into it. It’s funny because when I was younger and would watch with my mom, I remember thinking the contestants were so old. And now they’re all my age! But the nice thing is that now I can slay the pop culture categories. Like it used to be all M*A*S*H and Bruce Springsteen and now it’s Euphoria and Lana Del Rey. It’s lit.

I was horrified that none of the contestants got that one ^, but also they know about, like, astrophysics, so—to each her own! My girlfriend and I have also been watching Celebrity Jeopardy!, which is fun because they are “so dumb” (even though they get a lot of answers I don’t). But watching Seth Green answer “what is Japan?” in response to a question about an Asian city made me LOL. Also it’s just funny how theatrical the celebrities are, like making this huge performance of simply choosing the category. I’m so much more comfortable with the squirrely weirdos on regular Jeopardy!, which begs the question—why do I live in Los Angeles?

Who knows! Maybe I’ll move back to the Bay Area. My girlfriend is desperate to leave LA and we went to San Francisco for her birthday weekend and had an amazing time. We stayed near Dolores Park, not far from where I lived when I was 23, and I was transported back to a time when I could drink 10 beers a night without consequence and somehow still had abs. The freeways are less terrifying, as is the airport, which was fairly empty with lots of bougie food options, ample lounge chairs, and a “sensory room” for neurodivergent travelers!

My shopping addiction is in full force. Well, maybe let’s call it a window-shopping addiction. But online. I just love looking for clothes and perfumes and candles and putting them into a cart and not buying them!!! My drug. Like shopping bulimia :)

Some things I want but won’t buy because I’m too cheap:
